Kepapilavu People Boycott the Independence Day 4th Feb 2018

Praja Abhilasha Network has conducted a Strategic Planning workshop at EISD in Colombo .. 21 Civil organizations and 16 leaders from varoius land struggle on Land have participated in the workshop

Kepapilavu people boycotted the Independence Day and protested in front of the Three forces Headquarters in Mullaithivu. People demand to release their rest of the people's land and allow them to live in their land freely.. Futhermore people mentioned they do not have a Independence until they settle in their land. so the  people boycotted the Independence day on 4th Feb 2018.

Kepapilavu struggle leaders were released from the charges by the Mullaithivu District Court

Last Friday 04th Feb 2018- the police have filled a case against 5 people who engaged in the Kepapilavu Struggle. The hearing was held in the Mullaithivu District court complex today 12.02.2018.

the charge was that these five people brought and put forward the children in the protest which conducted on 4th Feb 2018..

The people highlighted their issue and told that they haven't been put children at the protest. The children have come with their parents for the protest..

Then the Five people who has been accused were released from all charges. .. and the judge allowed the people to continue their struggle without disturbing public through his judgement.
