On 10th July 2018, The people from Pullumali in Baticaloa District of East Part of Sri Lanka have conducted a protest to stop the water factory construction. the protesters pointed out that the establishment of the  water factory is a threatening for the water resources of the surrounding villages. The people are depending on the ground water source for their daily routing and agriculture activities , if the water factory  takes the ground water through piling, the water resource will be affected severely, farmers cannot continue their livelihood as usual and farmers will have to withdraw from agriculture if the factory constructed.
therefore, people protested and demanded to stop the project.. Praja Abhilasha Network and National Fisheries Solidarity support together to strengthen the people struggle consistently.
