Mass Rally on seeking solution for Human and Elephand conflict issues

On 11th Sep 2018- Hakwatunawa Protection Organization has conducted a mass rally and march at Polpithigama demanding to sort out the existing Human and Elephant conflict. The government of Sri Lanka has supposed to withdraw from their proposed tourism plan which supposed to implement around the Hakwatunawa lake. Now has come with the new idea through the Wildlife Minister Sarath Fonseka. so people agreed the ideology and conducted the rally to implement it as soon as possible.

Protest Against land grabbing

on 21st Aug 2018- conducted a protest and march in Colombo regarding land grabbing issues. which was organized by the collective efforts of PARL network, NAFSO and PA. people demand to release their own land and resettle them soon. also people opposed the co operate land grabbing as well.

Dialogue between the Government officials and civil societies on implementation of UPR recommendations

23rd Aug 2018- Conducted a meeting with the government officials on implementation of the UPR recommendation at the Renuka Hotel in Colombo -03 . Officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Resettlement, officials from United Nations office in Sri Lanka were present at the event. government officials and civil societies have come for a consensus on common goals.
