The Plantation community suffer for their livelihood and land rights for many decades......but still it is an unresolved issue.. now the workers demands for the least salary RS.1000( less than 6 US Dollars) Per Day but the companies are denying to pay even this amount for this small amount for the workers who were the back borne of the country for many decades.. So the youths decide to voice out for this Plantation communities .. Therefore youth and likeminded people are coming to challenge the politicians and companies at Galle face in Colombo on 24th Oct 2018 at 10.00am.. Let us join with the people to uplift their life....

Mass Rally on seeking solution for Human and Elephand conflict issues

On 11th Sep 2018- Hakwatunawa Protection Organization has conducted a mass rally and march at Polpithigama demanding to sort out the existing Human and Elephant conflict. The government of Sri Lanka has supposed to withdraw from their proposed tourism plan which supposed to implement around the Hakwatunawa lake. Now has come with the new idea through the Wildlife Minister Sarath Fonseka. so people agreed the ideology and conducted the rally to implement it as soon as possible.

people protest to stop the water factory construction in Pullumalai

On 10th July 2018, The people from Pullumali in Baticaloa District of East Part of Sri Lanka have conducted a protest to stop the water factory construction. the protesters pointed out that the establishment of the  water factory is a threatening for the water resources of the surrounding villages. The people are depending on the ground water source for their daily routing and agriculture activities , if the water factory  takes the ground water through piling, the water resource will be affected severely, farmers cannot continue their livelihood as usual and farmers will have to withdraw from agriculture if the factory constructed.
therefore, people protested and demanded to stop the project.. Praja Abhilasha Network and National Fisheries Solidarity support together to strengthen the people struggle consistently. 




Ashrof Nagar villagers protest against the mud grabbing

02.07.2018 Today Ashrof Nagar people have protested against mud grabbing in their village by the military . people are unable to stay in their village since 05th Nov, 2011 because the military has occupied and fenced around the village.. People are protesting to return their land back, at the same time a case has been filed in the court. the now no one can take any steps because the case is on the court. but the Irrigation department dig the gravel mud from the land. so the people protested against that.The partner organization (District Fisheries Solidarity) of Praja Abhilasha Network in Ampara District facilitated for the people's initiatives.
