A gathering was organized in terms of Iranaithivu people's resettlement and their present needs today on 22nd May 2018 at ICSE in Colombo...nearly 20 organizations representatives, priests and Journalists attended to the event..

Paanama people discussed their future plan

24th May 2018....Today from 10.00Am to 14.00Pm the Committee of Paanama Pattu Protection Organization(PPPO) discussed their future program and designed a draft plan... The members are 1) Somasiri 2) Rathnamali Kariyawasam 3)N.Jayantha 4)P.Sarath Gnasiri and 2 villagers contributed for their plan.... The program will be finalized at their village gathering with the Committee... PPPO seek support to implement their plan through the collective afford of the Civil Society Groups and NGOs.... I too invite the NGOs which working on Paanama Land Struggle to support Paanama people collectively....

A meeting was conducted at Ragamvila village

On 24th May 2018 - In Eastern Province of Sri Lanka , Paanama , Ragamwela people conducted a meeting to sort out their internal matters... also Ragamwela people took few decision to strengthen their land campaign.. The meeting was started at 3.30pm at Ragamvela..21 people took part in the meeting..

Discussion on Joint Ownership of State land

A discussion was held on 30th ,May 2018 Today at International Centre for Ethnic Studies (ICES)in Colombo about the Joint ownership of state land... The discussion was organized by the Center for Equality and Justice...Praja Abhilasha Network has engaged in the advocacy process regarding Joint ownership since 2010... Ms.Swarna Sumanasekara, Chairperson of National Committee on Women of the women affair Ministry too part at the discussion.
