Let’s build our rights through social media
Awareness workshop on social media through practical activities will be held on 22nd April 23, 2021 at the National Fisheries Solidarity Movement training hall with the objective of improving media literacy and social media usage.
This training workshop is conducted under the auspices of the Community Aspirations Network of the NAFSO and PA . Participants from Matara, Polonnaruwa, Kurunegala, Negombo, Trincomalee, Colombo, Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mannar, Ampara, Batticaloa and Mullaitivu districts Youth leaders, PA Volunteers and NAFSO Coordinators participated in this social training workshop.
Discussions were held on the use and updating of FACEBOOK, Blogger (BLOGGER) and other social media in use by their campaigns and activities. Then they prepared the short term and the long-term action plans., Mr. Suresh Wasantha, Mr. Gayan Abeygoda, PA Chairman Herman Kumara, Mr. Pradeep Wanigasuriya, Mr. Pradeep Laksiri and Mr. Nuwan Pradeep facilitated the workshop. Mr. Francis Rajana and Mr. Anthony Jesudasan supported for the translation Francis priyankara Costa and Nuwan coordinated the whole workshop

Protest at Suriyawewa. Walsapugala farmers conducted continuous Satyagraha. So today they came to the road demanding their rights.After the Suriyawewa they are moving to Ambalantota city this morning and the farmers of Ambalantota who were united in a huge protest in the center of Ambalantota town. Police have received two court orders against these protests.More than 2000 Farmers, CSOs join the protest. They blocked the road and did they protest more than two hours

Irudeniyaya people got hope to ownership for their LAND
People of Irudeniyaya and other villages around got chance to met Land commissioner General, provincal land commissioner, Polpithigama ADS and land officers at wariyapola (Wayaba Training centre) on 31 of January 2021.PARL and LST facilitated the program and PA/NAFSO organised the community.
They build the action plan with people.In the same time Land commissioner General agreed to have a meeting at Irudeniyaya.

Palwatta, Uma oya, Maddula,Monarakele,Randeniya,Domagalla, siyabalanduwa and Mubukka oya land issues and also Common land issues in Monaragala District presanted by the people. Then Land commissioner General explaned that how he can proceed and also Palwatta, Monarakele and Randaniya land issues can solve before the March.
