Promote small food producers

Training Workshop Aimed at Enhancing self sufficient unit leaders(Rural small food producers') Livelihoods! 🐟🌾 Another significant step toward uplifting the livelihoods of these SFP in the Eastern Province, under the "Praja Abhilasha"network program—an initiative by the National Fisheries Solidarity Movement (NAFSO)! On 05/07/2026, a special training workshop was successfully conducted for 13 self-employed entrepreneurs from Batticaloa, Ampara, and Trincomalee districts, aiming to boost their income by adding value to their rural products. Held at the Aika Institution in Kattankudy, the training session provided practical knowledge on essential techniques such as: 🔹 Proper drying methods for products (Drying) 🔹 Preservation techniques for extended shelf-life (Preservation) 🔹 Quality packaging tailored for marketing (Packaging) Unani Physician Vaseema Athif from the Aika Institution served as the resource person for this workshop, sharing clear insights on product quality and healthy processing standards. In addition, participants received valuable guidance on how to properly launch and successfully manage a business venture from the rural level. At the conclusion of the event, certificates were awarded by the Aika Institution to the 13 beneficiaries who successfully completed the training. சுயபோதுமான அலகு தலைவர்களின் வாழ்வாதார மேம்பாட்டு பயிற்சி! 🐟🌾 தேசிய மீனவர் ஒற்றுமை இயக்கத்தின் (NAFSO) பிரஜா அபிலாஷா வலையமைப்பின் கீழ், கிழக்கு மாகாண சிறு உணவு உற்பத்தியாளர்களின் வாழ்வாதாரத்தை மேம்படுத்தும் நோக்கில் 2026.07.05 அன்று மட்டக்களப்பு காத்தான்குடியில் அமைந்துள்ள Aika நிறுவனத்தில் பயிற்சி நடைபெற்றது. மட்டக்களப்பு, அம்பாறை மற்றும் திருகோணமலை மாவட்டங்களைச் சேர்ந்த 13 சுயதொழில் முனைவோர் இதில் பங்கேற்றனர். உலர்த்தல், பாதுகாப்பு முறைகள் மற்றும் சந்தைப்படுத்தலுக்கான தரமான பொதியிடல் தொடர்பான நடைமுறைப் பயிற்சிகள் வழங்கப்பட்டன. வளவாளராக யூனானி வைத்தியர் வசீமா ஆதிப் கலந்து கொண்டு ஆரோக்கியமான உற்பத்தி மற்றும் தொழில் தொடங்கும் வழிமுறைகள் குறித்து விளக்கமளித்தார். பயிற்சியை வெற்றிகரமாக நிறைவு செய்த 13 பேருக்கும் இறுதியில் சான்றிதழ்கள் வழங்கப்பட்டன. ස්වයංපෝෂිත ඒකක නායකයින්ගේ ජීවනෝපාය සංවර්ධන පුහුණු වැඩමුළුව! 🐟🌾 ජාතික ධීවර සහයෝගීතා ව්‍යාපාරයේ (NAFSO) ප්‍රජා අභිලාෂ ජාලය යටතේ, නැගෙනහිර පළාතේ කුඩා ආහාර නිෂ්පාදකයින්ගේ ජීවනෝපාය ශක්තිමත් කිරීමේ අරමුණින් 2026.07.05 දින මඩකලපුව කාත්තන්කුඩියේ Aika ආයතනයේ පුහුණු වැඩමුළුවක් පැවැත්විණි. මඩකලපුව, අම්පාර සහ ත්‍රිකුණාමලය දිස්ත්‍රික්කවල ස්වයං රැකියා ව්‍යවසායකයින් 13 දෙනෙකු සහභාගී වූ අතර, නිෂ්පාදන නිසි ලෙස වියළීම, කල්තබා ගැනීම සහ අලෙවිකරණයට සුදුසු ඇසුරුම්කරණය පිළිබඳ ප්‍රායෝගික පුහුණුව ලබා දෙන ලදී. සම්පත් දායක ලෙස යුනානි වෛද්‍ය වසීමා අතීෆ් මහත්මිය දායක වූ අතර, සෞඛ්‍යාරක්ෂිත නිෂ්පාදන හා ග්‍රාමීය මට්ටමේ ව්‍යාපාර ආරම්භ කිරීම පිළිබඳ උපදෙස් ලබා දුන්නාය. පුහුණුව සාර්ථකව අවසන් කළ සහභාගිවන්නන් 13 දෙනාට සහතිකපත් ප්‍රදානය කරන ලදී.
